Bearcamp Trackers
The Bearcamp Trackers (BCT) was founded in November 2004 by a group of 16 people who shared a vision to use wildlife tracking to aid in land conservation and monitoring the health of wildlife habitat around the Bearcamp River watershed of central New Hampshire. They were trained by Sue Morse of "Keeping Track" in her technical workshop to help document the presence of wildlife. BCT was coordinated and facilitated by Chele Miller and Chris Conrod until the fall of 2022 when they passed the torch on to Hillary Behr and Kyle Ball.
Our mission has shifted toward wildlife tracking education. Our members gather to teach one another and inspire each other to become better trackers. We also invite wildlife experts for presentations, workshops and evaluations. The Bearcamp Trackers run a wildlife tracking club that meet once a month from September-March and is free of charge.
